Flying a drone abroad? The rules in your language.
You know the rules at home. Then you land somewhere else, and everything that decides whether you may take off is suddenly in a language you don't read — the authority's page, the name of the zone, today's NOTAM. DroneKoll doesn't switch language when you switch country.
- The app follows YOUR language, not the country's. Read English and you get Croatia's rules in English — not Croatian.
- Visiting mode: tell the app which country you're in and it switches zones, rules and authority. Your home setup stays untouched until you're back.
- Your certificate keeps its own name. Hold a UK Flyer ID and it stays a Flyer ID in Spain — the app doesn't translate away your own document.
- Within the EASA area your operator registration and A1/A3 certificate are valid in every member state. The app shows you where that holds — and where it doesn't.
- Raw zone text or a NOTAM in a language you don't read? One button sends the original text to translation. We never put ourselves between you and the legal wording.
Frequently asked questions
Does the app work when I fly my drone abroad?
Yes. DroneKoll covers 55 countries and you keep your own language throughout. You set which country you're in, and the rules, zones and authority switch over — but the text stays in the language you chose.
Is my drone certificate valid in other countries?
Within the EASA area your operator registration and A1/A3 certificate are valid in every member state — you register once, in the first EASA country you plan to fly in. Outside EASA other rules apply, and the United Kingdom does not recognise EASA certificates after Brexit. The app shows which case you're in.
Which languages is the app available in?
27 languages — and several of them cover more than one country. Spanish carries you through Spain and Latin America, English from Ireland to New Zealand, German across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. A Mexican in Chile and a German in Austria both read in their mother tongue.
